Today is windy and rainy, perfect to reflect and share. There will be a lot of images with this post. I feel the need to catch up so here we go!
With the addition of bees to the property I wanted to increase the amount of flowers planted. By early April a long winding bed was created on the hillside (we paced it off and it was almost 300 feet). This first image was taken on 4-10-12.Soon we were planting sunflowers, corn, and vegetables the entire length. The dead looking grass outlining the bed is from weed-wacking.
This view taken June 27 shows the hillside now in usual summer gold and the sunflowers growing along the big bed.
By August (these next three images I took on the 14th) that bed was in its full glory and was a very special place to be.
