Abbondanza is a micro-farm and learning center for mindful farming and gardening. The 4.8 acres is situated on a gentle north slope of an east-west running ridge in the eastern end of the Shenandoah Valley of Amador County, California.
Abbondanza is the Italian word for abundance. Here an abundant amount of time, attention, love, and effort is spent fostering healthy vital soil alive with microorganisms, mycorrhizal fungi, worms….LIFE.
Our mission is to inform and inspire regenerative organic and Biodynamic® farming approaches, healthy eating, and mindful living through our actions. An abundance of good nutritious produce and very special essential oil of lavender comes from the soil here that not only feeds us but others too.
Our seasonally fresh and very local fruit, nuts, vegetables and essential oil can be obtained locally at the Plymouth Farmer’s market, Amador Vintage Market, Motherlode Harvest (http://mlharvest.com), Taste, The Sacramento Natural Foods Co-Op, Placerville Food Co-Op, Gold Trail Natural Foods, Corti Brothers, and here at the farm.
